Capacity

When a school or district aspires to be a learning organization, systemic change is going to be necessary. The capacity to support and sustain systemic change is crucial.

The 10 System Capacity Standards are often referred to as results for the system. They describe the attributes of a system that looks like a learning organization or a highly-engaged school. The Schlechty Center encourages the use of these standards as a framework for assessing the capacity of the system to support and sustain needed change.

Activity:  Review the 10 system Capacity Standards.  Then listen to the Claremont High School case study. Discuss the question at the end and post your consensus to your project slide deck.
