Intersession Work
Read Chapter 5 and be ready to discuss.
Continue to design with the design qualities that meet the motives of your students. At least 5 times, assess their engagement. (Card F in your toolkit can be a resource for questions.) Record your data and your reflection.
Post your data in the pallet linked to your pie charts. Share your learning in the padlet.
Watch video to hear student voiced concerns/motives for doing work. These do not fully align to all ten Design Qualities. However, you can see how they align. (optional)

Design Qualities: Creating Great Schools
Read the narratives in appendix A in Creating Great Schools about the design qualities. Focus on the design qualities that have the most value to your students. Click on the "your reflection" button to reflect on some work you are creating for them to get your colleagues involved in collaborating with you. Respond: Circle-wonderings circling in your mind. Square- What affirms or confirms your thinking about the Design Quality? Trapezoid - What is missing the point for you?
